The Atomic Age Roleplaying System and Setting is a d20-based roleplaying system set in the continental United States after a series of post-apocalyptic events have reshaped the world. The nation has become divided into vastly different regions, each governed by a powerful entity known collectively as the "Powers That Be".

The system is inspired primarily by traditional d20 systems, and has taken some aspects from several other systems (for example, Pelgrane Press' 13th Age was a strong influence). Each of the six classes - Channeler, Engineer, Marauder, Psion, Scout, and Veteran - is mechanically different and varies in complexity.

In addition to the standard combat and skill mechanics seen in most d20 games, Atomic Age also includes rules and guidelines for exploration and discovery, mutations and implants to add to your character's abilities, combat mechanics for vehicle-on-vehicle action, a new mechanic for hacking and infiltrating computer systems, and more.

What you make of the apocalypse is entirely up to you: if you prefer the over-the-top weirdness that exists in other post-apocalyptic roleplaying games, we can certainly do that. If you want something with the grittier feel, we can certainly do that as well. For however you want to face the apocalypse, be it "as a six-foot tall rabbit with a gun" or "as a nameless wanderer and his dog roaming the desert trying to survive", the system is robust enough to handle it all.

A free preview PDF of the system can be downloaded above. In the meantime, you can join our Darklight Interactive's Discord Server for updates before and during the project's launch. You can also follow us on Twitter/X at @AtomicAgeRPG.
